Thank you for your interest in submitting an article to be featured in the German-American Journal. You can submit an article to Office@DANK.org . To be considered for publication, articles must meet all of the guidelines set forth below.
Respect Copyrights
We will only accept articles from the original author or a publicist hired by the copyright holder. By submitting an article to the German-American Journal, you acknowledge that you are legally entitled to redistribute the article and all included materials.
Acceptable Usage
By submitting an article to the German-American Journal, you agree to let DANK use the article on the DANK National website including our blog. You still will retain all copyrights on your article and are free to reuse it in another publication.
Article Formats
Our readers are looking for engaging articles that are relatively easy to read and understand. Not all of of readers are fluent in German, however, we do allow for German language submissions. We would prefer, however, that your article is available in both English and German.
Your article should be 300-600 words in length.
Please send your articles in one of the below formats:
- A Microsoft Word File (.doc or .docx)
- A Text File (.txt)
- A PDF File
We will not accept articles sent as a scanned document or mailed documents. Please retype your article and submit if you only have a hard-copy of it.
Graphic Formats
Graphics/images can add a lot to your article. If you have images you want included, please provide them in the highest quality possible, 300 DPI preferred. Heavily compressed images will not be used.
Please send your images in one of the following formats: JPEG, TIF, PNG, or EPS. We will not accept GIF files.
Please try to include captions for each image at the end of your article.
Payment Policy
We do not pay for articles and will not accept articles that are primarily advertisements. You may include a short resource box and contact information to be included with your article as long as it is not an advertisement. If you wish to advertise in the German-American Journal, you can find more information on our dedicated advertising page
