MUSEUM OPEN REGULAR HOURS - The DANK-HAUS German Cultural
Center museum will be open 11-6pm on Saturday. In the Willy
Scharpenberg Gallery we are presenting - "Hamburg Emigration Port" a
chronicle of emigration from the port of Hamburg to America. This
wonderful exhibit tells the story of the trials and tribulations that
emigrants faced as they left their homeland for the promise of a better
life in America. In the Rough:Space Gallery we will be presenting
"Converging Histories" the works of two of the brightest stars in the
contemporary art scene Miroslaw Rogala and Rob Mazurek. As Chicago's
most progressive German organization, it is exciting and energizing to
see the interest and excitement the reopening of our museum has
brought. We are honored that such impressive artists have faith in our
organization and our vision to bring the very best high impact cultural
programming and the very best European talent to our neighborhood and
make the DANK-HAUS German Cultural Center the nexus of German culture
in Chicago.

Every 3rd Monday in our theater in the DANK-HAUS We will host a
contemporary German Movie night featuring Modern German Cinema with
English Subtitles. We can order in Pizza and will have cash concessions
available (soda, beer, pretzels, munchies).

The DANK-HAUS German Cultural Center is a 501c3 non-profit
organization. Incorporated in 1959, the DANK-HAUS German Cultural
Center has served the Lincoln Square Neighborhood for over 45 years,
presenting cultural events, teaching the German Language and providing
